Design studios

Design studios are lively, Vibrant, and interactive and it motivates students to work, concentrate & evolve creative outcomes. Visual connectivity to the nearby lake makes students connect with nature, which gives students a serene design environment. Studio design is flexible for interactive sessions where students collaborate among different semesters. In this way, an interactive design environment is established.

Lecture Halls

Lecture halls are provided for the sole purpose of lectures and seminars. They are well lit and ventilated. They are equipped with projector facilities and is easy for the instructor to take class and interact with the students at the same time. While the furniture are also ergonomic and classroom friendly.

A.V Halls

Well air-conditioned, the furnished audiovisual hall is fitted with the latest equipment for conducting Lectures, Seminars, Video conferencing, etc. The stepped floor layout provides a better cone of vision for students and acoustically treated surfaces help better audibility of lectures for the students.

Conference Room

Spacious, Comfortable, and Professional setting of our conference room facilitates panel discussions, presentations, video conferencing, Guest Lectures, etc. An airconditioned conference room with comfortable seating and other essential equipment integrated within promotes its smooth functioning.

Auditorium

The state-of-the-art Auditorium is a spacious hall with attached balconies and restrooms. It’s designed to host important functions like induction day, convocation and special lectures, etc. The Auditorium is equipped with projector facilities with 6 extra screens for easy view by all the audience. The hall also has centralized Air conditioning, Acoustical proofing, and different types of interior lighting for a wholesome experience for the audience and the guests.

Library

The Library at Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture has around 4060 Volumes of books and nearly 3027 Titles , I5 Nationals & International Periodicals giving extensive reference materials. like, best Thesis, Encyclopedias, Time Saver Standards, Handbooks, National Building Codes and some other references are neatly arranged for ready reference to all students and Faculty members of the Institution. All the Students and Faculties of our institution also get a membership from NATIONAL DIGITAL LIBRARY ( NDL ) developed by IIT Kharaghpur &MHRD, Govt. of India to easyaccess of e resources effectively. The library is also equipped with PALPAP software for easy tracking of books and book lending process.

Climatology Lab

As a part of the practical approach for incorporating the effects of Climate and the surrounding environment on the well-being of human beings, Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture is equipped with a Climatology lab with the following devices for students to work on:

1. Rain gauge: An instrument used to measure the amount of liquid precipitation over a predefined area, over a period.
2. Cup Anemometer: A device that measures wind speed and direction, a common instrument in the weather station.
3. Wind vane: An instrument to show the direction
4. Barometer: An instrument to measure atmospheric pressure.
5. Campbell Stokes sunshine recorder: A instrument that records the amount of sunshine at a given location at any time.

Students start using these devices in 3rd semester to get exposure to their theoretical approach to the Subject Climate and Built Environment, in which the devices are introduced with their functions and usability. Students continue its usage during their rural and Urban
site study, to understand the microclimate of the place. Thus, it gives the student a sense of uniqueness with their results, which helps them, in their feasibility studies for their designs.

Material Museum

Our material museum is a treasure with the display of all the latest available materials and technology in the construction field like different types of laminates, bricks, tiles, stones, UPVC and glass samples with fixing details, etc. The students get to have the touch and feel of these products available in the industry. Students get accustomed to nuances in design with respect to the usage of appropriate materials and finishes.

Our museum showcases students’ work to enable juniors to learn from seniors which facilitates knowledge sharing. It is a place for students to experience and rewind their architectural journey on our campus

Computer Lab

The computer lab is a spacious air-conditioned space with well-equipped computers and a dedicated lab technician. The computers have licensed and latest versions of Windows and MS Office along with drafting software like AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Auto desk 3ds max, and Adobe Photoshop. Two numbers of special, high-quality computers with an i7 processor, 1Tb SSD hard disk, 8gb graphic card, and GTS make are provided to make renders and other 3d visualizations. The lab is always open to students with necessary assistance, faculty supervision, and support. Apart from the academic requirements, the lab is also equipped to conduct online government exams like NEET, Gate, defense exam, etc.

Construction Yard

The 3500 Sq.ft Construction yard is a spacious working space, abutting the department. It offers students space for experiments and practical experiences. The exposed foundation structure, Bamboo structures, Brick bond walls, and pre-cast slabs in our construction yard portray our student’s experiential learning. Various workshops are being conducted in the construction yard to enable the students to get hands-on experience and gain practical knowledge.

Canteen

Aalim Muhamed Salegh Academy of Architecture has a large cafeteria facility that offers its staff and students a wide selection of high-quality food and snacks at affordable prices. The canteen provides nutritious and healthy food every day that sensitizes everyone’s taste buds. The canteen is well equipped with comfortable dining furniture and well-maintained storage systems. The canteen is open from 8 am to 4.30 pm on all working days.

Transport Facility

The college provides transportation facilities to all get students and staff from different parts of the city and its neighborhoods to arrive at the college on time. Every student has access to these facilities. In addition to the regularly scheduled trips, the facility is made available for events like special after-hours coaching, placement, and training sessions.

Sports Ground

Sports play an important role in grooming a person’s personality and physical condition. To provide a global experience to the students of Aalim Muhamed Salegh Academy of Architecture, a sports environment that meets international standards is made available on the campus. A variety of sports activities are provided to keep the students involved, which makes them physically fit. The campus has a huge playground for outdoor games cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. The department also engages students in indoor games like table tennis, carrom, and chess. Also, the sports committee takes the initiative to conduct inter-college yearly sports tournaments for the student’s growth and welfare.

Hostel

Aalim Muhamed Salegh Academy of Architecture offers residential facilities with a wide range of amenities, including separate areas for boys and girls. We create a safe, secure and homey environment within the campus so that students experiencing first time hostel life would feel better. Spaces within the hostel are planned spaciously with good day lighting. The institute maintains the safety and security of the students by a committed team of security officers and staff. The security guards are available to ensure that discipline is maintained on the campus and help students in times of emergency situations.
