She has received merit scholarship for her academic performance in higher secondary and under graduation from the Government of Tamil Nādu. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Madras University in the year 2000 and Master’s Degree in Architecture from Anna University in the Year 2018. She is the First Rank holder and a gold medallist in her post-graduation. After gaining immense knowledge, she started practicing architecture independently since 2006. Her firm, “Harini & Nandalal, Architecture + Design” has won quite a few competition projects in the industry. Harini has 22 years of Industrial experience and 10 years of experience in teaching. She found her interests in academics and research and has strongly felt that the knowledge gap between architectural practice and academics can only be bridged by practitioners becoming teachers and vice versa. Harini is the grantee of the prestigious CREST Research programme funded by the British Council, which involves Climate Resilient Architecture. Her research work on ‘Social Sustainability’ presented in the ‘First Thinkspace Conference’ hosted by Taylor’s University, Malaysia, 2021 has won the best paper award and best presenter award. Harini is also interested in literature and poetries; her poetries have been published in the AJC’s Architectural Poetry Series. She is currently pursuing her PhD. in Anna University, Chennai. Her research threads include climate adaptive architecture and responsive built environments in the urban scenario.

Ar.Thiagu has a Masters in Architecture and a University Rank holder with 19+ years of experience in Architecture and interior design projects with parallel 5+ years of Academic Experience. His practice spread varies from designing office space, Retail space, Exhibitions etc. for brands Like Next(Videocon), Barista, H&R Johnson in major cities across Nation. He has a keen interest in designing ecofriendly spaces, with an aspiration to bring aesthetic, harmony, and environmentally balanced surroundings/space, He is inspired with the key quote “FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION” and “DESIGN IS SUBJECTIVE BUT ARCHITECTURE HAS AN OBJECTIVE.” He has traveled many countries like Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, and China to study the international trends in architecture and interior design. Majority of projects he had handled were from Conceptualization to Completion. He established “MORPH-O-SPACE” Architecture and Interior design firm in 2017. He is an empaneled architect for corporate clients like Johnson Tiles, Grohe India, along with varied Residential, School and Retail projects for Individual clients. He has designed and managed projects over 40000 SQFT of Architecture spaces and 3,50,000 SQFT of Interior spaces. Always had a leap towards academics with an intension of sharing knowledge from Industry to classroom and Creativeness from classroom to Industry. His key areas of nurturing includs Environmental planning, Urban Design, Public Spaces, Passive design techniques & Sustainable Architecture, Integration of services in Architecture. Brief Description:

Ar Shrija is an Assistant Professor in Aalim Muhammed Salegh Academy of Architecture. She holds a bachelor degree in Architecture from the same Academy and a Master degree in Sustainable Architecture from School of Building and Environment, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. She has 3 years of experience in architectural practice and teaching. Her teaching and research interests are particularly in Sustainable Design, Green Buildings, Vernacular Architecture, Building Material and Construction, History of Architecture and Urban Design. She has been a part of an Indo-UK collaborative research project with IIT Roorkee which aims to decouple building energy and has also published a research paper in the National Conference that was held at NIT Trichy. Being an IGBC Accredited Professional, she is inclined towards Sustainable Planning and Green Building techniques which she tries to disseminate among her students so that they are ready to deliver efficient and sustainable projects in the future.
